1. What is the difference between Warm White and Cool White?

Warm white mimics the colour of incandescent light and is ideal for applications in residential uses such as lounges, bedrooms, dining areas and even commercial settings such as showrooms, shops and restaurants to create a more warm and intimate atmosphere.

Cool white mimics the colour of white that is produced by fluorescent lights. Cool white is 25% brighter than warm white and is better for applications that require increased illumination to reduce visual and mental fatigues, and is suitable in places such as kitchen, bathrooms, garages, offices, warehouses and other commercial settings.

2. Is heat a problem for LEDs?

Yes, LEDs do not like heat at all and they do not produce much heat like the conventional lighting sources do. However, under prolonged usage, certain amount of heat will be generated thus it requires adequate ventilation such as the incorporation of aluminium heat sink, or polycarbonate material with high thermal conductivity for heat dissipation. Therefore like any other LED lighting products on the market, we do not recommend installing our products in airtight/enclosed fixture, as not only that defeats the purpose of the heat dissipation designs but also decreasing the life span of the product.
